School Resource Officer

A school resource officer is a law enforcement officer specially trained to be in a school environment. The goal for this program is to create a safe and secure environment for students, teacher and other staff. The roles for a SRO, in Ohio and many other states, is to act as a law enforcement officer,LRE(law related education) teacher and mentor/counselor. I became a OPOTC certifed School Resource Officer in August 2003. I was certfied by the National School Resource Officers Association in July 2004 and became a National Practionier in December 2004.
